There are plenty of them out there. Those big companies that offer website building and tack on a social media package as an easy add on.
But here is what you’re really getting…
Scheduled a Month in Advance
Yes, these companies do come to you and take photos of your product (or hire an independent photographer) then schedule out your posts for the next month or more…but what are they writing?
A personal experience trying your product? How that pasta that you make in house every day and cooked to order? No. They’re posting generic captions about how “a crunchy salad with crisp vegetables is all you need today” followed by eight emojis.
Not Posting your Hours
Since this is a quick add on service and the posts are scheduled so far in advance, they are not posting day to day info. What hours are you open? Are you closed for a private event? Did you need to close unexpectedly because of a power outage or equipment issues? You will have to post those yourselves.
No Personality
I could go on and on about why a small company who cares about the details is right for you, but we only have so much time and space in this post.
Lastly, you want personality. There is a person/people behind your brand that your customers want to know about. Those big companies are not going to be posting about that special sauce that makes you, you. The works that it took to get you where you are and the craft that you have perfected should be celebrated.
